H.O.P.E. Labre House Dinner Project 2011

The Benedict Labre House was established in 1952 as a day centre for the homeless. Members of H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Effectively) wished to contribute to their mission by setting up a Meal Team with volunteers from Saint Aloysius parish.

It was a 3-part project: On Friday, Sept. 30th, volunteers helped by shopping for the ingredients and supplies. On Saturday, Oct. 1st, volunteers prepared the meal. On Sunday, Oct. 2nd, volunteers helped to set tables, serve the meal and cleanup at Labre House. Members of H.O.P.E. and other parishioners were able to serve over 100 guests.

Thank you to everyone involved in the planning, shopping, cooking, serving and cleanup.
